If I posted this in Poetry.com's contest??

I've never seen anyone win
a nickel from this site
But then again there are no losers
no matter how poorly you write

As I'm sure this one will make it
Into print if I've the money
But I shall not waste my time
No more with you honey

So take my name from off your list
Don't send me no more mail
Because upon your heads I hope
The storm let's out it's hail!

Ok, now seriously I want to know if I actually posted something like this for their contest, could I get in trouble? Cause if I can't, I'm doing it.

I dont think you would get in trouble for it. I think that they would just disregard it. But that was a good idea.

You expressed it wonderfully. I can't stand those places either, they prey on people don't they?  And poets like us are just too savvy to fall for it!!!!!

Erin the point is the poem itself sucks...
I bet they'd print it, that is if they actually read the poems that come across their desk.

If I won't get slammed for slander I'll enter it in.

Try it and see what happens! You shouldn't get slammed for 'slander', as you are printing the truth here.

Not only would you win, but you'd be chosen for their special Elite Poet's edition, beautifully leather bound, and for an extra seventy bucks they'll let you have a certicifate sealed in  acrylic with your name especially typed in....GROAN...

LOL Serenity!

Ok I think I will do just that, now remember this thread y'all when I get notification I'm being published!

We'll see if this actually goes through, if it does that means they don't actually read them.

Choosy choosers choose the choicest sites... lol.
I think you'd be fine sending it in... and leather bound for $70.... is that US dollars... coz here it would cost me $135...
Good luck, see ya around the place.
Linda Munday.
