A SPIRIT OF ALLUSION The spirit who lies above my bed, is a quiet ghost, a spectre I dread. He hovers above me in the nights, and whispers to me in the days, he tells me tales of horror and fright, and floats about in his horrible ways. His heart is evil to the end, and now my terror finally begins... As I lay here in the dark, with his terror in my heart He whispers... Always and forever again... The evil demon who lives no more, does not remember, his life from before. All lost loves will forever be lost, and there beauty he wil not see, in the end of his life this was the cost, losing the love of Miss Annebel Lee... The ringing bells will toll no more, the feathered demon has left his dark door... As I write his final tale, of a love that has failed, He cries out... Always and forever again... The spirit who speaks through me tonight, will finally know, the terror he writes... He tells me things to write and record, and is always crying to me, His only wish is to write once more, and maybe then both out souls will be set free... I begin to pull out my pen, to tell the tale from begining to end, As my hand begins to scrawl, the soul can still only call... Always and forever again... The spirit spoke of horror so great, it can not be told, not on anyday... He spoke of a tale no human could tell, and what had become of his fate, what's worse than an eternity in hell? An eternity of nothing but wait... Here I am the one who fears death, knowing now there is no eternal rest... As I contemplate the end, I look upon my quiet friend, Who will always whisper... Always and forever again... |
