Poetry Speaks Poetry speaks with an unedited tongue, It warms the old and woos the young, It frees the spirit and uplifts the mind, It colours the world for the colour blind. Copyright © 2001 by Asif Ahmed. The heights by great men reached and kept |

Thank you all. I saw the subject matter on one of the sites last night and thought I give it a try. I wrote it last night when I had a couple of minutes of waiting time before going out to a New Year's party with my wife. I hope you will agree that poetry expresses herself when least you expect it. i liked. the "unedited tongue" should maybe be taken to heart by the moderators (grawl). i do agree that the bringing color lines sticks in your head. "everyone is broken by something they love and worship"- Francesca Lia Block |
