some people are like gentle winds
in the harsh climate of reality
they soothe you and provide comfort
in so very few words
some people would rather float into your space
than profane it with apathy
and they don't have to, but do
put forth time and effort for the happiness of others
some people are humanists pure and true
they don't obscure the definition
and in all their words, there is emanating
the compassionate heart of a stranger-friend
there's those care undyingly
want nothing more than to inspire
and it's not romantic ideology
such people exist, you're living proof
and maybe they're not such an anamoly
i've never seen someone so thoughtful
as to make each day a little brighter
for all those that stand in her glow
she shares a smile with all those down trodden
and just because she cares
i'm not too good at cheerful poems
especially on days like this
but there was her poem, a kind little gesture
something to make us all feel better
she's never said "it's too depressing"
but rather "i've been there."
she's quick to complement, slow to judge
and i hardly even know her
yet here she's like the old friend
the caring supportive one
the kind most people never have
so let's all be grateful she comes here
and graces us with not only her poems
but her spirit, untiring, and ever hopeful
and let her know we're glad she's here

okay, please no criticism on how bad this poem is. i didn't post it in open poetry 2 because it would soon be swallowed by the huge amounts of posting. whtdove is always writing and responding in such a wonderful, refreshing way that i wanted to write something for her, right this instant. i know it's not very good, but it is how i feel, and if anybody else has had a positive epxerience with her (and everybody who has spoken to her obviously has) post something and let her know.

I will share your sediments about WhtDove. She is always kind and has a word or two to share. We are lucky to have her in our forum. (or maybe I am lucky I found her forum?)
