Hmmm. A dark Easter poem perhaps. Well, Xeorox, I like this a lot. It is short and pointed, a dagger of a poem. I have spent a considerable amount of time thinking about it, but still haven't been able to explicate it to my own satisfaction. However, here are some questions that I came up with that do not necessarily need to be answered but which you might wish to consider for your own understanding of the poem as the authoer: -Who is the second person in this poem? -Where is this equitable place? Earth? -What is the message behind this poem? (In other words, what do you want the reader to take from this poem and how have you insured that the reader will do so?) Disclaimer: The preceding statement is just my opinion. |

The questions you have asked are awesome. I wish other readers would do the same that you have done, wether reading poetry or anything else. I try to take my time when responding to poetry. Because I know people are looking for a good feedback. Thank you. Ronil (Inspiration for my poems is all around me for my muse is my reality.) |

Help! I just don't get it. I understand the first part or think I do but the second throws me for a loop. I don't see any concrete images, I don't hear or smell or feel anything. I wonder if it's not too much for the strictures of such a short piece? My instincts tell me you're preaching. Please enlighten me. Brad |

I love peoms like this. They are like mantra's their meaning not immediatly evident reveal themselves after several hundred chants. This is not to say that i am going to chant this poem fro the next seveal hours. However, my initial impresions when i read this poem are that this was written by someone for someone who has commited suicide. Maybe this person was disturbed and turned to the church to get rid of the bad thoughts but commited suicide after this or this is about someone who has turned to religion and comes to trems with evil ( the bleeding bring up images of release of purging). But you cannot live with out blood so therefore you need evil to balance life against death. I do not know maybe i am rambeling. Thanks for posting this poem |

Tony seems to have one view on it. As tony said, this is a poetry in which one must give time in order to understand the meaning and I as the author will not provide a meaning, because that might change your guys viewpoint.
