Short and eloquent.  Reminds me of a statue I saw in the museum - the essence of female perfection in alabaster....

i like this one, but why call it "falling"?  especially with short poems, i find it fun to use the title to tell something important about the poem.  not neccesarily important, but, ya know.  you could do anything. play with it, see how it goes. just a suggestion

I loved this...and wish I could write so much in so few words. A beautiful image you have created here.

Kris, thanks, you're sweet. It's such a wonderful feeling when people like what you write!

Elyse, the title 'falling' is meant to imply falling in love, but I didn't want to call it that because that sounds tacky. It is also meant to represent the feeling the 'he' in the poem has when he sees the object of his desire. But you are right, I wasn't that happy with it myself, but couldn't think of anything better.

Jenni, I'm really glad you use the term snapshot! My present aim is to write a load of poems that behave like "snapshots" of people's lives, one for every day of the year. I'm pleased you liked it!

p.s. JP, I liked your idea about the statue, BTW, Thanks. I forgot to mention that before (I think). I'm afraid I'm not very together today (3 of hrs sleep does me in).
