Someone Stole My Song |

There was a time that I would wake up singing- The world was right, and nothing could go wrong. But now I dread what each new day is bringing… I’m not sure when, but someone stole my song. My heart was light and gay, I still remember… The hours and days just seemed to fly along- But now the seconds trudge with leaden shackles- That’s how it is when someone steals your song. It must have been a time I wasn’t looking- I didn’t even miss it for a while. One morning I was looking in the mirror- When I realized I could no longer smile- The melody which used to be my portion- To my remorse, I found that it was gone. Was it by subtle slight? Or mere extortion? I’m not sure how, but someone stole my song. |

I could sing along to this. My version would prolly be too deep dark and dreaded though. Will keep it to yours. Someone stole your song...and my muse flat out ran away. Cheers. |

Looking in mirrors, especially older ones, is a trap, because your eyes see youth, and vibrance, "vim and vigor", yet the truth of reflection is stained with age. And reality has one asking, who is that – am I seeing ghosts . . . standing in front of me? |
