A Life of Bliss |

Kneeling in the driveway, Of a station long ago- Whiskey on my breath- I gave the dice a roll… I thereby set the pattern- I would follow through the years- A lot of fool decisions, And a lot more bitter tears. A lot of pain inflicted- On the woman in my life- It truly is amazing- That she is still my wife. If there is a moral- It surely must be this- Lay off drink and gambling- If you want a life of bliss. |

They say life is the gamble, John, though they don't teach many of us the rules in time. Most of us don't learnt o weigh our choices till it's too late to do us any good. |

John...Been through similar circumstances early on in my life. My wife of 52 years stood by me and without her I know that I wouldn't be here today, so give that wife of yours a big hug and do something very special for her...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |
