I walked into the diner, And I thought I saw your face- Among a crowd of strangers- And my heart began to race… I found my mind returning- To a past time can’t replace- A victim to old memories- Another time, another place. A time when I was younger, A time I still had dreams- Before my heart grew calloused because nothings as it seems… A place where I was happy with the one whom I adored- Before I found that sorrow is the dreamer’s sure reward. I paused for just a minute, then I finally realized- The girl was far too young and I guess I was surprised- That nearly forty years had passed since last I saw your face- But I can still remember, another time, another place. I guess my life is made up, of places I have been- And memories of good times, and one or two good friends. These wrinkles are the road maps, that nothing can erase- Put there as sure reminders, another time, another place. |

This one just sings, john. beautifully reminiscent. Stirs us all to yearn for that "another time and place". |
