Penny for Your Thoughts~ Metallic nights, shiny tokens saved in slots of rainy days. Once bright copper jingled pocket, fell through the hole face down in the dust, unlucky to pick up, tarnished touch. Not two cents worth of truth given, left nothing but a tear.. just a penny waiting for change. ©Augustsky |

Sky...I always pick up pennies when I see them, I also save all my pennies, nickels & dimes from my pockets as I get them. Average about $50.00 a year or so. Use to go to casino with my 50.00 but afraid to go now with the virus. Enjoyed your little jingle. Thanks for sharing...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

Holy heck, the weight of that penny. If you could somehow do great honor to bad luck, neglect, avoidance and price paid in solitude you've done it here. Beautiful, in a vey mournful way. |
