I'll Remember Him In Fields Of Gold

I'll Remember Him in Fields of Gold~

I'll remember him..
with the scent of
meadow
upon skin,
our nest of wanton wheat,
beg of barley,
and morning glory.

Sunflowers rise
from the vase
of the earth
smiling down upon
our joy,
I'll remember him..
when we walked
in fields of gold.

Desire in open air,
for there is no
shame in love..
clouds stroll by
in billowed canopy,
lowing sun frames
our moments in
raptured red
and soft sienna,
the amber sea
that held us there
ebbing endless
in our eyes.

I'll remember him..
as a warm breeze
curls across my lips,
and the sky sighs
in unison
with the heave
of my heart.

"But I swear in the days still left
we will walk in fields of gold,
We will
walk
in
fields
of
gold"...

Beautiful poem, sky. I particularly liked "Sunflowers rise
from the vase
of the earth.
And I am a long time fan of Eva Cassidy.
