When I was a youngster My head was filled with dreams- Long before I learned that life Is never as it seems. I thought of places I would see- And things that I would do. In every, single thing I planned- I made a place for you, You were my lover and my friend My confidant, my all- My anchor from the winds and tide- My cushion when I’d fall. You knew my faults and loved me still Despite my feet of clay- I knew that I could count on you- When all about gave way. I love you though you never were- Please know you’re sorely missed Even though I realize You never did exist. |

Wow. This was nice and cozy... until that last line. I really like the impact and the mystery/wonder it evokes. == |
