It's not easy to break away from old familiar haunts in the company of my flock to search and find new grooves.
On a clear day, I close my eyes as I sit solitary upon a rock listen to the sounds of the sea, the quiet ripple of slow waves.
I smell the salt and breathe pure air what bliss to soak in the silence, relinquish grip on all my fears fly beyond the blue of the waters. My imagination gets intoxicated unfettered and supple, I flex my wings to spread careening in wild abandon surge straight towards the sun.

Peace breakers
Oh, oh, they have found my sanctuary I try another groove to hide from them find solace in my solitude kindle a spark of life without noise. Thoughts of escaping the crowd hold a sliver of appeal to me the fluid lazy motion of the waters carry me to a distant, dreamy place.

Yep, that can very well go for humans also. I know back in tha day I spread my wings and shot toward the heavens. Fell flat on my face many times, but I continued trying until age pretty much shut me down. Still, every once in a while I still get that urge. Nice one, jjote.~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~

Thanks Jerry, I can just imagine you trying your "wings"...guess we all have that notion of wanting to fly, and why only the birds can do it.

Your photos compliment your words beautifully.
...and vice versa.
