I was walking through the forest
Shrouded in lush emerald green
The moon danced amongst wild roses
'Twas the prettiest sight I'd seen

The breeze carried a fragrant scent
The stream whispered secrets of old
The sweet sounds of mother nature
Echoed loudly, vibrant and bold

Up ahead there lay an old log
Covered with moss so silky soft
I was in utter amazement
At what I saw sitting aloft

There before my wondering eyes
There appeared a shimmering glow
And as I inched ever closer
I could hear a melodic flow

It was a beautiful fairy
In a silver gown trimmed in lace
Her wings sparkled like cut diamonds
An angelic smile on her face

Her raven hair hung in ringlets
Long tresses fell down to her hips
Her eyes were like a violet
The reddest of rubies for lips

Her mannerisms were quite quaint
An aura of peace she instilled
I silently sat in deep awe
Totally entranced and quite thrilled

Before I knew what had happened
She flitted into the dark night
The forest once more was silent
Yet I'll never forget that sight

A truly lovely story encased within your rhythmic poetry, Miss Pinky.
