It seems like only yesterday That we romped through white mounds of snow Bundled up in mittens and scarf Our cheeks all rosy and aglow I remember the snowball fights And the igloos built with much pride Snow angel imprints in the yard And the magical ole' sleigh~ride Catching cold snowflakes on our tongues Building a Frosty six feet tall Scouting the woods for rocks and sticks These fond memories I recall Homemade skis out of wooden slats Riding sleds down steep icy hills The biting air upon our face Sending electrifying chills Time has a way of slipping by And taking our childhood away But one thing that it just can't take Are the memories of today © Poet In Pink |

Some sweet reminiscing going on here, Miss Pinky! So much I can relate to having once found residence in the North country. Okay...so much for the sweet talk. Let's you and I get down to cases, Miss Pinky re: quote:I don't ever want to hear this from you again! You're as much of a child as I am! So, here's what I want you to do to make amends for making this statement a part of your delightful and light-hearted poetry... Spend the day making snowballs to throw at perfectly innocent and unsuspecting senior citizens! I want to hear some feedback ASAP! ...or not. ...just bein' Bluesy |

Pinkynoseandcheeks, Yes you captured those days like a polaroid. Back then we didn't think a thing about hitting the ground running. Now it's a different story...you could break a hip! LOL! ~L |
