It seems like only yesterday
That we romped through white mounds of snow
Bundled up in mittens and scarf
Our cheeks all rosy and aglow

I remember the snowball fights
And the igloos built with much pride
Snow angel imprints in the yard
And the magical ole' sleigh~ride

Catching cold snowflakes on our tongues
Building a Frosty six feet tall
Scouting the woods for rocks and sticks
These fond memories I recall

Homemade skis out of wooden slats
Riding sleds down steep icy hills
The biting air upon our face
Sending electrifying chills

Time has a way of slipping by
And taking our childhood away
But one thing that it just can't take
Are the memories of today

Some sweet reminiscing going on here, Miss Pinky! So much I can relate to having once found residence in the North country.

Okay...so much for the sweet talk. Let's you and I get down to cases, Miss Pinky re:
quote:
"Time has a way of slipping by
And taking our childhood away"
I don't ever want to hear this from you again! You're as much of a child as I am! So, here's what I want you to do to make amends for making this statement a part of your delightful and light-hearted poetry... Spend the day making snowballs to throw at perfectly innocent and unsuspecting senior citizens! I want to hear some feedback ASAP!

...or not.

...just bein' Bluesy

Pinkynoseandcheeks,
Yes you captured those days like a polaroid. Back then we didn't think a thing about hitting the ground running. Now it's a different story...you could break a hip! LOL!
