The evening sun slides away like a crushed peach while a rice paper partition opens between the geisha and a man She extends her lithe, white arms as if drawing heavy curtains across the sky Her face is painted to perfection like that of a porcelain mask Her willowy body kneels as she tidies the broken Sake cups preparing to be tenderly violated beneath cool silk Her music and her poetry soothes her sorrows that must not be spoken upon the winds that sing with the next rising sun ...just bein' Bluesy |

This is really good Bluesy! I don't know what prompted this sensitive piece but you did it justice. I think it is cool you took it from the woman's perspective. ~L |

Thanks so much, Miss Lori! As for "what prompted it", I 'extracted' the idea from a poem I wrote a long time ago that I was reading. As a young Marine, I spent time in areas of the Orient...some of the places were 'friendlier' than others, but all stirred my youthful emotions. My muse wanders a lot these days and I try to keep up with it. Thanks again... ...just bein' Bluesy |
