The last of the leaves shiver and swirl in the chilly breath of Autumns farewell
Choppy waves splash up upon the sleeping shore of the deserted marina
The docks creak and groan like the bones of old fishermen
Boats still tied ~ whine in the wind

The sun plays peek~a~boo behind
The gray swirling clouds
Leaving shards of golden streaks dancing across the water
Seagulls ceremoniously circle ~ their squalls reverberating in the quiet lull
Of the lakes magic as they bid adieu to the beauty of falls kaleidoscope

I snuggle deeper into the warmth of my pink fur trimmed sweater
Listening, looking, smelling and simply enjoying
The wonder of the season before me
The last crunch of leaves under my feet are music to my ears
The fresh smell of earthy ground and fishy smells
Are sweet fragrances to my soul

In a quiet moment like this, when I have time to linger in nature~ I stand in awe
I am thankful for the blessings I so take for granted ~ how funny that some can
Look ~ But never see...
Listen ~ But never really hear...
Touch ~ But not really feel...
I promise myself to never succumb to that
Until next year my beloved autumn

What a fabulous tribute to dear old autumn. You took the real feelings of autumn and wrote a magnificent poem which glorifies autumn, dear old autumn. Thank you.

The image, your lovely poetry, and the peaceful, melodic piano piece were in perfect harmony just as the gentle transitions of seasons.

Ah...Miss Pinky
