Pause To Remember |

On this Veterans day May we all stop and pause To remember all our Vet's Who stood up for the cause Let us say a silent prayer For those who unselfishly did give For all of those who lost thier life And those who yet still live Let us cherish our freedom Remembering it comes with a cost If not for the bravery of our Soldier's This nation would be lost When we stand before our flag Gazing upon the red, white and blue Let us humbly honor those Who gallantly fought for me and you Theirs was not an easy task They faced many hardships of war They lived and breathed atrocities They'd never experienced before Let us all as a nation Honor and pay tribute to our Soldier's brave By thinking of them with gratitude Each time we see Old Glory wave © Poet In Pink [This message has been edited by Poet In Pink (11-11-2017 03:35 PM).] |

Thank you Bluesy for your service ~ I am ever grateful to those that give so much to secure our safety. I come from a long list of family members and friends who served and are still serving ~ My brother served in Vietnam also.. Thanks again Alana |
