Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2017-10-27 06:50 PM

I know it was only Tuesday,
but it still felt like a Monday.
I’m afraid it’s going to be
Monday all week.
You know that groggy
that hangs on a little
too long
and the slow
that just won’t let go.
Can’t quite hit my groove
and coffee ain’t getting me
anywhere but up and down
the stairs to the ladies’,
as it goes right through me.
Wednesday humped along.
Everything seemed to take
twice as long.
Next thing I know,
it’s Thursday.
Oh, THIT!
Oh, Thank Heavens It’s Thursday!
The way I tiredly trudge around all day
it’s a sin.
If I moved any slower
rigor mortis would set in.
Friday is finally here
If I’m not awake now
I never will,
we just had a fire drill.
Thirty something degrees,
winds a brisk forty mph
we were all afraid we’d freeze.
I was walking down the hall
and I thought I heard my shoes squeaking,
turns out it was just my rear end dragging.
Now this week of Mondays of which I was speaking
has finally meandered its way to the end.
The end.

I'm so happy to know you enjoyed it, Lori Rhoden!

I considered Gary Moore to be one of the handiest guitar players that ever held one...or in his case, 'became' one. Some, though not many, remember him from "Tin Lizzy". Gary died about 6 years ago. To me, he and Stevie Ray Vaughn were the two best players. Even the likes of Hendrix and Clapton were no match.

I agree completely, he was amazing! He also had a joyful look about him as he played. He made that guitar an extension of himself. As I said before, mind blown! Thanks again! ~L

Hah-Hah! Yeah, exactly, Lori, whatever kind of week, month, etc., we are having, it does have an end and it will come to us through the storm.

Hey stranger! where ya been, was beginning to worry. Glad you are okay. I'm back again working on bringing down my blood sugar-that has a tendency to slow me down. ~L
