Love is at the helm
Yet the passion steers
Somewhere in the hold
Logic shackled tears.

A cry from the nest:
Onward without fear!
Eden never reach
Anchored to a pier.

Then Logic whispers:
Do proceed with care
Dangers below lurk
Onward if you dare!

Thus at last the ship
From the shore is cast
I heard best one be
Fastened to a mast.

Ask me not which port
Where the anchor be
Last I checked was still
Drifting out at sea.

Sometimes, I have that helpless feeling of drifting with no means of control. Excellent written poem.

Love that! A lot of drifting in this world as love can be stormy. Even looking from the nest doesn't tell the whole story.

I'll use a favorite line from a movie I loved ~ "Beware the under toad"

Work like money doesn't matter, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching...

As long as it stays adrift and doesn't sink that is what matters most   Much enjoyed CG ~ Alana
