Well baby, we've finished talking for the night,
but I still feel the warmth of you within me,
roaming through the hollows of my heart
that's been so empty for so long without you.

Keep my words among your many thoughts lover
and feel me smiling as I rest inside my shell
while threatening storm clouds move along the horizon,
even as others swing leisurely in their holy hammocks.

We danced to rhythms that were still hidden in time,
as we waited for days that came and went so quickly.
You whispered, telling me of all your favorite places
...I touched them and I felt the Summer heat.

Superb wordplay, Bluesy. The first two lines perked my interest, and as I kept reading I realized just what kind of gem this special poem was.

I really love the way you write about love,
you have an earthy, grounded feel to your words that have not been dipped in syrup because they are naturally sweet. ~L
