The cool of autumn
arose with the morning dew
giving the crisp sweetness
of apples to the day.
A day to dig out sweaters
and fall decorations
of reds and golds.
Time to remember recipes
for sweet hot cider
and to ready the rake
for making mountains
of soon to be falling leaves.

Really, August was pretty tame this year but I am still in the mood for warm cozy clothes and stick to your ribs comfort foods. ~L
