I’ve always loved my music- It’s brought me peace and calm. When a person’s soul is aching, It provides a soothing balm. It has added some stability- To a life oft torn by strife. The attraction has not faded, As I near the end of life. Country, while a youngster- Was quite my cup of tea- Soft rock while in the service- Had a special hold on me. Joni Mitchell’s voice was crying- CCR were getting down- And many now forgotten bands- In the sixties did abound. Janis Joplin died too early- I guess I have lived to long. And life is not worth living, If you do not have a song. I have done a lot of writing- But the words all come out wrong- But in truth I’m disappointed- For I cannot write a song. |

Just add music. I’m in the same boat, but I’ll get there. I must. Enjoyed this, a thoughtful write. Love the Joni shoutout, I’ve been listening to her a lot recently. Don’t try to live up to her high, high level. It is crazy daunting. Best of luck. |
