I fear the cacophony of midnights past hold me their throe As I strain to hear my silent thoughts spoken long ago, With neither whispered breath nor sigh to hear, I fail to recollect of all I once held close and dear. Whil’st pulled into the cold black watered canyons I touch upon the murmurings of long since forgotten companions I strain to comprehend but fail in darkness of the void, What once was exists no more, has long since been destroyed. I realize, it is in the darkness, I never shall be found Cacaphony of midnights past, I’m banished to their sound. And so alone I wander, wander in the night, And so alone I wander, endless wander in the night. |

Welcome to the dark, my friend. Been wandering here a long time myself. I'll tell you a secret though, you don't have to let it consume you. Much enjoyed the feel of this one. Michael |
