Cancer 006 (Roosters and Railroad Spikes) Today was Railroad Spike day, again - you know, that double-shot-at-the-same-time that I get every month now - and I almost missed it because my cell-phone alarm didn't go off. Damn! I have this rooster that crows, and he should have done so at five a.m. (yeah, this morning), and he didn't do it. I was torqued because when I woke up I only had twenty minutes to S, S and S, and you can scratch the last S, because I've had a beard for at least the last 30 years. Well, I turned that fowl thing off, totally, and he better not crow in the morning because I will damn well pluck him, before I cut his head off. I mean, I was half asleep, smelled of under-arms, hadn't had any coffee, and still they stabbed my butt-cheeks with those railroad irons, I don't know, I may just pluck that little S.O.B anyway!

Someone else may have gotten to the rooster before you could. There is one around the neighborhood here in the middle of town. Wanna go on a hunt? I don't shy away from needles, but you make me shudder to think of this one. Enjoyed the description of the all too familiar scenario of waking up late. "How much is real? So much to question |

well, I've never been partial to roosters, they kind of annoy me truly but I am cringing for your poor bird right now. I have had a life full of days like this, but I dare say you schedule would be a little more important to maintain I know. I hope things have been a little easier for you my friend, and I hope your rooster still thinks himself capable of flight, even if he never truly was. Michael |
