Boiling under the surface
They knew it all along
Readiness and timing
It's the same old song

Treading the undertow
Of the once tranquil flow
Remembering the beginning
Was not so long ago

Isolation from plaques
Travelers beware
Quarantine the elderly
And call it Fair

Keeping the faith
As we wear our face gear
Searching through surplus
To stock on chem gear

From zero to curfew
Lockdown or else
This is America
We won't be put on a shelf!

by

Trusting the enemies
More then ourselves!

...and the truth of it will never be known, for all the political games been played with it.

Forlorn Angel...Really enjoyed. Sounds like an old saying I heard long ago.
Only believe 1/2 of what you see and nothing of what you hear or read...Paul

Thank you both for your replies. The times are really bringing out a trend of grunge poetry that I really like. I am a midlifer and it is a good outlet.

Well put in a day when we don't know who is telling the truth and can only prepare ourselves as best we can

Search diligently for the truth....it is what sets us free.
