Day of Reckoning By Paul Wilson I’ve had enough… I can’t take anymore The stress is killing me …I need a break Isolation I can take it don’t bother me Just drop me off beside some lake I’ve decided to pull the plug Packed my sleeping bag, fishing rod and gun Tomorrow morning I’m leaving town Going of the grid…gonna have some fun Covid-19 can’t slow me down Headed to the woods all alone See you later…in six months or so Off grid …turned off my phone Fresh fish anytime I want some Shoot some game I can’t complain No T.V or radio …no covid-19 news Nothing to mess with my brain Camp fire keeping me warm Mother Nature for company The stars put on show every night Sure feels nice to be free Rat race and worries I don’t need Crazy times in this world we know Wear your mask…keep your distance Off the grid I’m gonna go If you want to look me up Head to my off grid sky scraper Take your temperature before you come And bring your own toilet paper Copy Righted 8-18-2020 ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

Would have been off the grid many moons ago if I didn't need refrigeration for my insulin...and a fresh supply of insulin monthly to top that off... which of course requires that green stuff everyone is so fond of...which requires me to take part in society...which I am not particularly fond...which makes me want to just pack it all up and go off grid. Welcome to my circular train of thought.  Enjoyed the read, Paul. If you do successfully make it off grid, you can be sure I'll be visiting. Michael |

Michael...Wasn't expecting to hear from you being its a week night, but glad you dropped in. Yah I know what you mean about those meds. I only have to take pills for my Diabetes. Thought I might put a little humor into a crazy world. I don't think I will be going off grid, I have to buy my mega million and Powerball tickets twice a week. bad habit.
