'All the Way to Heaven'~ "I want to find me a carnival Outside of town A tilt-a-whirl set up With a merry-go-round Cotton candy fingers And a snow-cone mouth, I want to roll you in sawdust Till they run us both out, All the way to heaven.. All the way".. Night breeze blowin' between us Down a ribbon road, I want the all of you.. To taste your shadow Upon my lips, while You want to free the heaven in me. Travel me down through carefree hollow Where owls call to their mates and loons chant to lovers, Past Testify-tree Where old wounds are hung out to dry, Uncertainty tossed to the ditch. We'll race towards a gaping sky Swallowed by its sunset blessing, There you'll give to me a shawl of stars, Cold no more I'll be.. Purely enticing, this one is, Sky~ The images you give us, “carefree hollow,” “shall of stars,” open the reader’s eyes to wonderment. If you walked down the road singing you’d be like the pied piper, anyone who heard you would find themselves following along. Michael |
