My heart is so weary.
Too much hurting
loss and grief
around me.
On top of
my own.
My heart breaks
for the victims
of avoidable,
unnecessary pain.
Times are changing,
the future unsure.
Some people lose
their frigging minds.
Other people pass away
like it's just another day.

I'm not sure the world will ever slow down. I've almost stopped watching the news again. I hope you find some joy again soon, Lori.

Jenn,

You and me both. I have to say my grand kids really brighten my days. ~L

Sky,
During the 2016 Campaign I wrote a letter to the editor about the differences in the candidates and the energy that surrounded them.
I said back then that Trump would draw nothing but chaos and hate.
Hilary would stay the course with Obama's legacy.
Sanders was a revolutionary of the people and because a little bird landed on his podium while he was speaking, I said a little bird told me who to vote for.
Looking back, it's too bad Bernie and his healthcare for all and other plans didn't get voted in, they would have come in real handy with the pandemic. Looks like the bird was right. ~L

I see a lot of people fighting.  I see a lot of people watching and not doing much about it, or unsure if they even can.  It is a sad, sad thing to watch.  Change is already here I am afraid...afraid because we have no idea just what it entails yet it's pretty near too late to stop it, to make sure it will be moving us in a direction that benefits society/humanity as a whole.

I'm weary with you, Lori

The world can be so wearying, especially with the none stop audio-visual media assault, sometimes we all need to take time to grieve, mend and heal.
