I know you are very busy As you sweep left and right Looking for your ideal mate Who they won't let you meet tonight But if you can tear yourself away from your screen For just for a minute or two You might see for yourself what I mean And what they are doing to you I know I'm just an old man And you've no time for that Sorry I can't message you on Instagram And no I don't have Snapchat No, I can't send you a friend invitation Or like your page But I would like a conversation Just like they did in the old days Sorry, I can't join in on What's app Or speak to you on Zoom I would just like a serious chat Where we are both in the same room **'phone rings*** "Hello, yes it's me. Nice to hear your voice, yes it has been a long time. .." 'The Internet is on the blink And my smart phone has let me down Do you want to go for a drink And I can meet you in town? We can...' So sorry to interrupt But I did try to explain It's too late we are fu*ked We've been locked down again Go and look out of the window Now does it all make sense? John...Really liked the humor in this. all this is really wearing on me, I cleaned out my shed, painted the porch, washed the car 10 times and just remodelded the bath room.
