Repost, made some serious adjustments to this piece...

You might make up some story
You recall from the memories of a love you knew back when
You were strong enough in your heart
To let the growing promise of forever chase the wind
But you know now
You're left to realize
You have to guard against a love with bitter ends
With pains inside you
You may find yourself running from an open window
Where dreams you once knew are calling you again

Chorus:
But you'll always wonder, cuz love will chase you
It's always streaming through the chambers of your cistern,
Within your thoughts
The time worn reasons
To drop the fear and hurt and wake up to the chance
You might love again

You might see yourself hiding
Beneath the sorrow of the ruins of a love you never found
And you'll remember something difficult within you
Would bind you to the hopes that ran aground
Well don't consider it unearned
When the dreams you once knew come calling you again

So you will always wonder cuz love will chase you
It's always streaming through the chambers of your cistern
Within your thoughts
The time worn reasons
To drop fear and hurt and wake up to the chance
You might love again.

Good ending Eric, you definitely have to drop the fear first.  Think I'm one of those guys who believes love just seems to find you, a kind of destiny thing, whether or not you're looking for it.
