Unloved, and Alone

If words were only actions-
I would something special be!
A thinker, and a charmer-
Instead of merely me.

For I have far more issues,
Than a porcupine has quills-
Or maybe more prolific,
Than Carter’s famous pills.

I fear I have a temper-
Or better yet, a rage-
With little provocation-
Required to set the stage.

While there are tender feelings-
Hidden deep inside-
I fear the ruling passion-
In my life, would be my pride.

I’ve taken hopes of romance-
And placed them on a shelf-
I want no vain pretensions-
I am honest with myself.

In my dreams are room for others-
But if the facts are known-
I’ll probably die the way I live-
Unloved, and quite alone.

There are those who know that you have those and other imperfections, (and we ALL have lots of imperfections) and who love you FOR some of your imperfections and IN SPITE OF others of them and IN COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING of the rest. In many cases, words ARE actions, and you are indeed, a thinker and a charmer in the process of being "merely" you.

That is a hard one to live with, I say from experience...It is no bueno to be on the receiving end and bear the brunt. That rage has its roots somewhere, maybe it is worth looking into and putting to rest. Don't let it hold your heart hostage. ~L

Most people never gain true introspection of whom they are much less give open account of the flaws they see in themselves. Respect.
