You can run, but you can’t hide-
I have often heard that said.
And I’ve found that to be true-
Especially in my head.

For therein lie the pitfalls,
And follies of this life;
Propensity for failure,
Like cheating on your wife…

Unfaithfulness lies dormant-
Toward faith, or friends, or creed-
The warning signs are obvious,
And  yet we fail to heed.

Those dark desires and fleshly lusts-
Must all be put to death.
And yet the conflict rages on-
As long as we draw breath!

What is the answer? Man inquires-
What is a man to do?
Commit your souls to Jesus Christ,
And let Him transform you.

So true, John, and your answer is the right one.

Dear John,
You do write the heart and soul of your truth.
Bless your heart for sharing. ~L

"The warning signs are obvious,
And  yet we fail to heed."

This is true for sooo many of the pitfalls of life.  Not just the one you've bring to the fore.  I think the answer is the same for all of them though.  Well written, John.

Gs John, I like the way you lay it all out there, no dilly-dallying around.
Well said..
