Fire. Where does it go when it goes out, to brimstone and hell? It leaves behind a chill at the chimney and the hearth’s heart, that begs for spark to tender and kindling. It longs for hardwood of anticipation and dreams to stoke a roaring blaze. What remains is a mantle bereft and a pile of cold ash with which to trace a gray routine. LGR(C)10/18/19 |

Oh this gives chills with its ending. I have to question those would say we are the lucky ones, rather than those who die young, never having lost that fire. |
