Just starting to learn To play bass guitar The desire that burned Like a Rock-n-Roll star My collection of LP's Yes back in the day Black Sabbath's and Uriah Heep's Along with them I would play Practiced and practiced And soon in a band Bought my first Rick Bass The journey began So many good bass players To idolize and learn from Bob Daisley, Geezer Butler But Gary Thain was #1 His melodic bass lines Were something to hear Distinct and sublime Bass guitarist extraordinaire Gary you taught me So very much Melodic always unique With a delicate touch Each time I listen to Learning while playing along The magic your bass would do With each and every song... This a nice tribute to your musical inpirations. It reads like a song. Enjoyed. "Its gonna be alright cause I'm okay with me" |

Music has driven me to ink many a times. Was Pink Floyd who first moved me in that manner. I have to admit, gary may have been a little ahead of my time but I will look him up. |
