Slipping fast in western skies, Helios fades in night's advance, Vespertine now in reprise, The world ensconced in twilight's trance, In distant hedge, lone meadowlark, Heralds daytime’s flight, As creatures of the night embark On journeys of the night. Bustle of the day is calming, Children saying prayers, Before advent of nighttime's balming And midnight's doom ensnares. It is the time of intertwine, Neither day nor night, It is the time of vespertine, Serenity of day's benight. [This message has been edited by Michael (05-18-2019 03:44 PM).] |

Exquisite! Just what I needed, after burglar-stresses - calming, serene, shoulder-dropping, with time standing still for these beauteous, magical moments, that you have painted into a tranquil cameo of perfection. I am going to save this and re-read it many times, when I need it and when I don't, even though I will carry its effect for a long while, without needing to refer to it. Thank you for this wondrous gift, Tim. |
