Fickle

Spring, fickle filly,
is courting us like a
whimsical child --
laughing, running towards us
with a rich jasmine rush
then circles tight as a dust devil
whirling back
an onslaught of frigid air
in chase.

The weather has been fickle this year. even hear, Karilea. We had more rain than I've seen in years and the hills are covered in beautiful flowers and butterflies everywhere.

So good to read your words again my friend. It has been too long, and I've missed so many and so much here.
We actually had spring in north Florida this year. It doesn't happen often, it usually goes from a freeze in February to 90 degrees on March 1st  🙄

If I wake up on this side of the dirt, I call it a good day.

This is lovely. Your writing has always been beautiful.  It definitely brings to mind the memory of jasmine.

I must concur with the above. . .

It is good to read your words again, my friend. . .

Spring always passes way to quickly, just a tease.  The brutal reality of summer and the blight of winter encompassing the bulk of out lives.  I've seen this phenomena yearly, and rolled with it, never questioning.  Why is that?

Glad to see this one come back up, K.  Missed it the first time around.

And I come here and find this beauty just in time for Spring. As always Momma K, your words are an artistic gift to all.
