I turn a little green sometimes
when I read about a grand romance.
For a moment or two
it takes me back to when
my love was new.
But I have found
that on my ground
my grass is greener still.
My contented stance
has been a long time coming
to this heart of mine.
I’m in love with the mellow
I have with my fellow
in my later years.
I’ve had my romantic highs
with valleys full of tears.
So now my heart beats steady
always at the ready
to skip a beat or two.
Because with true love
that’s just what a heart will do.

Bluesy,
No doubt I'm "remarkable", I get "remarks" all the time. The most common is, "you're crazy!"
