Broken Laughter Belonging not yet I seek a river of arms and legs in this night of rain and sweat retracing my steps the hollow sound of my Chucks they echo with growing intent I hear your broken laughter like glass a shatter halo I wear to save my ass I hear your broken laughter far away on the other side of midnight I'll make my way clear into your arms and sway forever this way Thirsty you bet I'm a man on a desert crawl don't mess with a desperate heart bursting get set I need a torrential love affair I'm ready for a love kickstart I hear your broken laughter thunder strike me down and take me under I hear your broken laughter which way on the other side of midnight I'll begin to play a love song singing please stay forever this way New York you dark mistress I'm a picture of distress you keep me from my destiny I gotta rise above this mess she said she'll wear a little pink and black dress I wanna mix a cocktail of her perfume and my cologne most of all I'm sick of being all alone oh that laughter that sweet broken laughter is what I'm after feet don't fail me now I hear your broken laughter like glass a shatter halo I wear to save my ass I hear your broken laughter far away on the other side of midnight I'll make my way clear into your arms and sway Hey I hear your broken laughter thunder strike me down and take me under I hear your broken laughter which way on the other side of midnight I'll begin to play a love song singing please stay forever this way forever and a day forever this way okay? I Really like this Souls, the only thing I would omit is "chucks"..maybe use 'thoughts'..or 'breathing'..then continue with 'echos'. You're too good not to think of a better replacement, or not..up to you.(jmho) So many unique & 'catch your attention' lines throughout this piece Poet. Enjoyed.. Sky~ |
