Moon Addict~

Waxing crescent
a silver slice of addiction,
the so slender arc of what could be,
a tease of light..
a please of light..
that hangs almost touchable
against a wish-upon-a-star-night.
In moon struck stare
bathed and seduced,
its glow
a slow drip
to skin,
and landscape.

Twist the iridescent wedge..
wring poem and pleasure,
rain-barrel the quicksilver promise
in the dark,
squeeze the cut cantaloupe to mouth,
its tip heavy
with juice of the ages,
lips smack of Moon-Soul,

come

taste

my

kiss..

wow! wonderfully written, seductively so and those last four words . . .

walk outside, my friend, look up at the moon under which I'm standing. Close your eyes and feel. . . my reply.

No other celestial has inspired lovers and poetry so much as the Moon.
Its silvery influence may cool the night...Ah! But it warms the heart.
