I don’t need to hear you
play the victim,
like knowing me
is a crime.
Don’t blame
your chronic pain
on a woman every time.
You know I’ll be
a friend to you
or otherwise
you wouldn’t have called
with an excuse so lame.
It is not so much me
my dear,
that has you feeling this way.
It’s the time of year
that loves lost and past
touch our hearts.
Bittersweet stains remain
as bitter beats our heart again.
Don’t drunk dial me
like your the only victim
of these holly days.

sometimes these people can be way to toxic for us....it's better to just move on, and remember the great times we had together....

It is, indeed... though it's not a season celebrated by Hallmark cards. You've captured it perfectly in a powerful write!

Yeah, and the sobbing, crying and blaming goes on and on . . .

Heh.Heh Not really laughing, just trying to lighten up things around here. I certainly have had my "cry-ins, over the years," but as far as I know I never used the phone for my grievance? Or did I? Can't remember. I sincerely hope he goes on his not-so-merry way.

If someone is 'feeling sorry for themselves'
why do they always have to include someone else?

Let 'em wallow! Insist on it!
No need to rain on your parade
just because it's a little damp where they're at!

Oh! Did I forget to say, "Hi, Miss Lori"?

I guess not.

I love this. There are those who do this. I had an ex who would do it after we broke up.

When I drunk dial people I'm usually in a fun and loud mood. Maybe it isn't so much fun for them. Missing you. Hope all is well!

Ha! Only because I don't have your phone number.

You'd be safe anyway . . . I drink basically only beer and only with pizza or seafood.

I never do drunk!
