It is awesome to be awesome at sixty-one. I didn’t understand at fifty-nine, that everyone is awesome in their own way. That awesome isn’t relative to anyone else's. It is entirely unique to you. Often your awesome is hard to see, it takes others to remind you. Then you remember how awesome awesome feels. It doesn’t require perfection on your part, just honest effort and good will. There is no pretending, only the youest you will do. Being and feeling awesome, invites gratitude to an Awesome even greater. It gave me the realization that it is an awesome blessing to be awesome at sixty-one. Every blessing I recognize, every kindness that I give, is what makes me awesome. I know I can’t be perfect, I know I can’t do everything right, but I know that I am awesome. And by God, at sixty-one, I know that is just alright. LGR(C)12/30/18 |

Thanks Jerry, glad you could relate.The concept of being awesome is relatively new to me and I slip back into sixty years of thinking something else. Thank God for reminders!~L |

"Sixty-one" is merely an inversion of "Sweet 16". Though unattainable, I've always thought of you as "Sweet 16", Miss Lori. In other words...this!  Not this...!  So sue me!  ...just bein' Bluesy |

I have no idea what that even means Jerry. You can choose to post what you want for what ever reason you want. I don't know what on earth I could have said to you that would influence what you choose to post. But if it is that important to you to let everyone know they are missing out on select pieces of your "Stockpile" because of me, so be it. What are you going to do if I say the "wrong thing" about a piece from your new pile, quit posting altogether? C'mon man. If you are going to act like that, I don't need to comment at all. ~L |
