On this Mother’s Day I’m missing my mom, even though, I see her every Sunday. If I’m lucky she’ll wake up and maybe say a word or two. I’m blessed she still knows who I am. I miss making her laugh and telling her stories. I miss her reaction when I read her my poems. It has been hard to watch her fade like old photographs do. I can’t help but look at her and think of myself and wonder if that will be me. I worry when I can’t remember or my hands get too shaky. I miss being able to tell her and having her, in no uncertain terms, tell me just exactly what I should do about it. |

She would most likely tell you to just go with the flow. Can't stop it, that's a darn fact, can we. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Ha! Probably so! For a while there she was on a kick where it seemed like her cure for everything was eat more broccolli ~L |

Who knows, maybe it was a good thing for her, all that broccoli. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Very touching, Lori. I am sure she would love it as the other poems before, if only she could. Despite everything, you are very lucky indeed. |
