Too time worn for love
A part time actor playing the part
With luke warm commitment
In a scatter of half-hearted liaisons
Pressed to memory
~
Behind a cynic’s stone faced smile
I hid the lie of contentment
Through the dawdle of empty years
Framed by unclear horizons
~
Did you practise that tilted smile
Set the barbs of enchantment
To piece and hold your lover
For one tomorrow or a lifetime
~
Doubts are placed on swallows wings
Forgotten in the summer morning
As my sweet witch twists my senses
With reaching lips and laughing eyes

Sometimes I get the feeling that we are ALL "A part time actor playing the part." But then I look back on how much I was truly smitten, before I discovered she was into games.
