eh, another time maybe even another place I would be holding her hand our strength intermingling ’neath trees of Autumn leaves descending upon our heads causing both of us to laugh aloud and squeeze our hands we would stop look into each others eyes both of us thinking of the pleasurable night ahead of us I will sit and watch as her build yet another poem of her deepest inner conception she write feverishly about past heartaches which hemorrhage line after line by the glow of the computer’s monitor then we share the night doing other things sans clothes and without shame we thrill within our passion which causes us us to do wickedness to each other making us smile ahhh . . this other time this other place she fixes breakfast in the midnight hour a special time this other time, this other place but then . . . reality sets in shaking me out of my reverie I am here in front of the monitor my fantasy my dream about how I would like things to be because I, in a straight forwarding way will say I absolutely desire her ©October 14, 2016 / Jerry Pat Bolton |

First base, reflecting Second base, experience. Third base fantasy. Home plate? Much yearning. Knocked it out of the park with this poetry. Any man with a season ticket will connect with all you said. Touch, but don't look |

You sure know how to make a guy feel good so early in the morning Jack, and I thank you for that. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (10-17-2016 10:31 AM).] |

Even though you have been street-tempered, you really are a romantic at heart! Not just at another time or another place but everywhere you go! Don't fight me on this! I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather...not like the passengers screaming in the back of his car. |

It's a finer line between reality and fantasy and I think one day soon there won't be a line. That can be a good thing or a bad thing. I think in your poetry, you see it as a very good thing, therefore it is. ...just bein' Bluesy |

Thanks Bluesy. I do see it as a good thing . . . And it feels good that I do. I've looked negatively for much of my life, the optimism had a nice ring to it. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

quote:Focusing on one who is focused is what I see here Jerry and it makes for the most startling of images. I can see this as a staged B&W photograph or even as a painting. Wonderful poetry. Loving Linny Jean is poetry. |

Ari, that is just wonderful what you could "see" from the poem. I thank you so much for your words. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
