Shadows follow us where no one else goes places of fantasy that no one else knows Only our footsteps to tell where we've been when the sun slips away we'll do it again Most days are trying and often take hold but when nightfall appears the adventure unfolds Seen in the light of our ballroom of dreams we two have the floor ...forever it seems Loving Linny Jean is poetry. |

Last two lines! My Shadow, or just merely shadows have played a roll in many of my poems. I hearken back to the comic strip Shadow I read as a kid, then into movies, et al. Our Shadow. Never leaves us. Always there when the sun rises to reveal him. He is with us sometimes when the moon is bright. Our Shadow. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

I'd sure love to find that "ballroom of dreams!" |

Thanks for your comment Jerry. I've always liked the 'mystique' of "shadows", and apparently, so do you. Thanks again. Loving Linny Jean is poetry. |

Just like Brad and Angelina. Got a song for them: 'Say Goodbye To Angelina.' The Drifters. |
