Water alone cannot wash the oil of savage hurt from the sullied heart; with the gentle soap of forgiveness, alone will it disperse. To a previous purity? Or is it forever stained by the waste of betrayal from life's deceitful beach? Perhaps the water is too hard, and the most eager attempts prove fruitless at restoration. Perhaps too soft, and all is lost midst the foaming suds of vain attempts to cleanse, that which is tarnished forever. |

quote:Forgiveness is the ultimate virtue and is not varied or incremental. One chooses to forgive, or they don't. Even as humans, we can forgive any betrayal or transgression. We decide for ourselves whether we will or not. If you Red, have this burden you wrote of so well, then you will make a choice...one way or the other. Loving Linny Jean is poetry. |

I have found it within myself to forgive all who needed forgiving . . . Except one . . . ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

I agree with Ari. It is a virtue, so it is not easy. ~L |
