couple of days ago Zoe and I get in the Taurus head over to Martha Sowell Utley Memorial Library here in Thibodaux she likes to bark at the ducks while I throw bread for them to eat there's one big old black and white duck I call Nero because of the crown of unruly white hair on top of his head library is located along the bank of Lafourche Bayou as it rolls southward my mutt loves it there's always children and adults to meet and greet an enjoyable time for us both along the bayou is a nice boardwalk with safety rails people can walk the length of it stop and watch ducks swimming throw them food turtles and fish fight over the food much fun we went there this afternoon doing our thing strolling down the boardwalk Zoe would stop every so often bark at the ducks occasional squirrel run across the back lawn not many people were there today except for one young woman sitting on one of the benches on the boardwalk she was between sixteen and twenty how the hell do you tell these days black, with a do-rag as we approached I saw the tablet laying on her lap does your dog bite she wanted to know for Zoe was straining to get to her shook my head said, "Naw, she just likes to make friends" the woman patted Zoe I tried to make out the writing on the tablet couldn't, but I was curious because of the way the lines were so staggered so I asked, "You write poetry" she looked stunned, but nodded, said she did I said I did too wanted to know if she went online with her poems she didn't asked her what she wrote about she didn't say except that just things I think about next time I see her think I'll give her PiP's address I'd love to read what she has to say ©August 12, 2016 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

There's an old London busker tune that begins, "Oh ya' never know just who yer' gonna meet, when yer' walkin' down a busy London street". Your 'close encounter' of the poetic kind made this ditty come to mind. I enjoyed reading about your walk with Zoe, Jerry. You made it easy for me to 'see' it all. Loving Linny Jean is poetry. |

Ari, thank you big time for your so kind comments. But then, you seem to always know how to put a smile on my face. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

I imagine she might just do that, Lori. I'm just sorry I wasn't able to read some of her poetry. "under the Bunsun burner sun" . . . Love it! ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

Yep, so do I, Redstart, but I haven't seen her back, and I check . . . eh . . . Maybe I scared her away, or she is too insecure to let me read what she writes. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
