when she is pensively dreaming would that I could observe wishing I could enter into her world the one which gives her the greatest pleasure I would try to shield her from the dark ones which makes her awake to cry and maybe stroll with her through lush green meadows stopping momentarily to pluck a simple yellow flower to place in her hair we stroll on . . . smelling salt air from some nearby body of water she looks so happy inside her dream would love to present to her a mojo to protect her from all that is evil she is at the center of her dream I’m not allowed inside can merely watch from a distance would that I could be inside her special inter-space would that I were the breath she takes just one quick breath her breath quickens understanding I am there within her dream she might even feel I was necessary ©July 22, 2016 / Jerry Pat Bolton ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
