   Names of lovers

Nothing is as precious to hear
than your name whispered
softly to your ear.

To hear the words "I love you"
followed by your name
is sweet nectar mixed
with petals of roses

Words like Honey, Sweetie or Doll
are  words meant for anyone.
but the name of the one you love
is sacred  to the heart of lovers.

So very true, the memory of it sends little tingles up my back. Well observed and so well written. Enjoyed this. Thanks.

Nice read.

Wisdom of a lifetime of love in so few words. You can't just write like this if you're just a 'writer'. It's a powerful introduction for many of the young ones on the expression of love, true, meaningful lasting love.

I would marry a gal like you in a heartbeat, but I suppose someone else...

More feelings and fewer words please

Latearrival  - You did real good with this one jo and I loved the craft of your words. They tend to stay with ya and that's poetic. Namyh, a fan.

How very true! And nothing's more devastating than hearing a name and it not be yours.

Enjoyed this very much, Jo!
